$5,000 sign on bonus available! Emerge is recruiting for several direct-hire Bench Hand/Mold Polisher jobs in Cleveland, OH, on behalf of a leading aerospace manufacturer. This position focuses on the benching and polishing of mold cavities and complex hardened steel die cavities for the aerospace industry. Candidates must have experience in precision mold polishing in an industrial/tool and die shop to be considered.
Position Highlights:
- Shifts: Openings available on 1st and 2nd shifts, with a 20% shift premium for 2nd shift.
- Hourly Rate: $25 - $30, depending on experience + 20% shift premium for 2nd shift.
- Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package starting on day one.
- Sign-On Bonus: $5,000, payable in the first paycheck.
- Relocation: Assistance available for candidates relocating from outside the area.
Key Responsibilities for the Bench Hand\Mold Polisher Job in Cleveland, OH include:
- Operate ultrasonic machines and polishing stones to remove EDM recast from hardened contour surfaces.
- Polish die details from rough benching to finish benching, ensuring surfaces meet customer finish requirements.
- Verify contours and surface smoothness visually.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED, or equivalent with at least 2 years of mold polishing experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in precision injection mold polishing, particularly with hardened materials.
- Preferred Skills: Experience with tool-making machinery (e.g., Bridgeport, surface grinders, saws) is a plus.
- ITAR Compliance: Must meet ITAR regulations, which requires U.S. person status (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).
