**Position Summary...** **What you'll do...** **Position Summary** Our Sam's Club Accounting and Controls Team within Global Controllership plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our segment and enterprise financial statements. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and make a significant impact on our company's financial health. **About the Team** The Sam's Club Accounting and Controls Team is responsible for the oversight of Sam's Club segment accounting, controls, and reporting. In addition to executing accounting processes, we provide business decision support aligned with reporting requirements for the Sam's Club segment as well as driving improvements in processes as the business continues to grow and transform. Our work is critical to maintaining the financial integrity of the company and supporting its long-term success. In this role, you will support the Supply Chain and eCommerce business within Sam's Club including day to day business support, business process analysis and improvement as well as execution of month end close processes, balance sheet reconciliations and internal controls. Navigating business and technology transformation will be a key to success in this role. **What You'll Do:** + Support monthly close process for supply chain and eCommerce. + Understands end-to-end process for areas of responsibility. + Support and monitor the reconciliation between supply chain systems including unit quantities and PO costing. + Identify opportunities to streamline and automate existing processes as well as partner with our shared services providers. + Build and maintain relationships with business, technology and finance partners including helping them understand financial impacts of underlying business activities. + Provide accounting support for new supply chain and eCommerce initiatives including system conversions/implementations, infrastructure build, etc. + Ensure supply chain related internal controls are designed and operating effectively as our business/operational strategies evolve. **What You'll Bring:** + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. + Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. + Digital acumen and ability to learn new systems and tools. + Experience in working and collaborating in a matrixed and multi-national organization. + CPA certification with 5-7 years of Big4 Public Accounting experience. **You'll Make an Impact By:** + Demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills. + Performing data analysis, including both financial and non-financial information. + Building a strong internal network through demonstrating knowledge and building trust quickly. + Sharing ideas and solutions to complex and challenging processes. + Demonstrating ability to be detail-oriented and high level strategist depending on circumstances. + Working collaboratively and cross-functionally to improve or streamline processes. _The above information has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed in the role.
