We are in the process of staffing up our development team with outstanding talent to build our first multi-platform, AAA game - a bold and contemporary new take on the GI JOE Universe starring the legendary character Snake Eyes! This is an excellent opportunity to not only build an outstanding AAA experience but to also help form the core foundations for the studio and team to build upon. We are proud to be part of Wizards of the Coast which is a division of Hasbro. We are looking for a highly technical and creative Sound Design Lead to join our team at Atomic Arcade. As Sound Design Lead, reporting to the Audio Director, you will be instrumental in shaping immersive captivating narrative and gameplay experiences by helping to coordinate every facet of sound creation, implementation, and quality assurance. What You'll Do: Build and maintain the sound design pipelines, optimizing workflows the process to help streamline production. Collaborate closely with creative and narrative leads to establish the overall direction for character development and storytelling through sound design. Build interactive sound design solutions for various gameplay feedback systems such as weapons, foley and ambience. Lead the implementation of sound effects using Unreal and Wwise by working closely with designers and programmers to ensure seamless functionality and synchronization with gameplay events. Coordinate and supervise collaboration with external partners for various components of the sound design process including editorial, design and implementation. What You'll Bring: Minimum 8 years experience in audio on narrative focused projects. Minimum of 2 shipped AAA titles in a sound design role. Strong understanding of the complete sound design process for narrative video games Effective leader and supportive mentor. Expert command of professional audio tools: Pro Tools, Reaper, iZotope RX, etc. Deep understanding of technical audio implementation and systems design. Proficient in crafting and mixing audio for linear, pre-rendered cinematic sequences. Demonstrated expertise in integrating game sound using proprietary software tools or industry-standard platforms such as Unreal Engine, Wwise, FMOD, and others. Nice to Have: Understanding or proficiency in scripting languages like LUA, Python, or similar coding languages. Pertinent accredited education in audio engineering, sound design, television production, broadcasting, game design, or related fields.
