Job Description

Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement & Inventory Specialist to join a dynamic logistics client based in Rocky Mount, NC. This individual will be responsible for managing the purchasing process and overseeing inventory across multiple warehouse locations, ensuring a seamless flow of goods from suppliers to facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the procurement process and maintain optimal inventory levels across warehouse locations.
  • Oversee inbound logistics, coordinating the movement of products from suppliers to distribution centers.
  • Ensure real-time, accurate receiving data to support customer visibility and operational decision-making.
  • Analyze operational reports and leverage data to improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Collaborate with logistics, warehouse, and customer service teams to resolve delivery issues.
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships; negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Support cross-docking, inter-branch transfers, and management of import purchase orders.
  • Partner with Customer Service and National Account Managers on inventory allocation.
  • Consolidate inbound shipments to optimize inventory turns and reduce freight costs.
  • Coordinate purchase order timing with logistics to support transportation schedules and closed-loop circuits.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in food service or logistics-related industries is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Proven problem-solving and negotiation capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to prioritize, adapt, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
